This is the delicate White Tea called Hakucha (白茶). Made from small leaves sprouting at the beginning of the harvest season. These are also the least processed style of tea leaves.
This selection is from the foothills of Mt. Fuji in Shizuoka, Japan.
Great for multiple steeps and has a moderate yet distinct flavor.
We enjoy steeping at 175° F for 3 minutes and lightly increasing the time with each steep.
Steep time: 3 minutes to 4 minutes
Steep temperature: 175° F
Caffeine level: low – 5%~25% the caffeine of a cup of coffee
